What makes our distribution centre unique

In line with our business expansion strategy, we built a state-of-the-art facility in Blackheath, Cape Town in 2013. The facility, spanning 200 000m³, was purpose-built to handle complex e-commerce distribution. All our facilities prioritize health and safety and maintains full ISO accreditation.

 

Our customer base is dispersed across South Africa and these distribution centres enable us to offer them a variety of delivery options. Orders can be delivered from the distribution centre to a nearby homechoice store or pickup point, where customers can collect their purchase at a time that works for them.

 

Where possible, we also offer door-to-door distribution and use a combination of local couriers, owner-drivers or independent service providers to delivery orders.

To manage returns, our distribution centres have strong back-end processes in place.

 

Our delivery bags have been adapted to be made of 40% recycled materials, in accordance with the South African Plastics Pact, signed in 2020. We are one of the first companies in the country to sign this pact! Additionally, our dedicated IT and warehouse teams are constantly working on new ways to maximise efficiency and improve the customer’s experience.
